“The Skull” 1930’s Racer! ID#01010

Just in time for Halloween, “The Skull” roars through the sky in his 1930’s/40’s air racer! This beautiful plane is all set for Air Race dominance! We are not sure what model this is or its manufacture, but it is obviously modeled after the old air racers of the 1930’s and 1940’s. This aircraft, although one of the smaller craft in the collection, features one of the better wing finishes. These wings have been done up in fiberglass and resin. A very nice example of craftsmanship.  The length from tip to tail is 35 1/2″ and the wingspan is 34 1/2″ wide. The power plant in this bird is an OS 15 Max III. It is a four channel, including ailerons, rudder, elevator, and throttle. Whoever built it, did a great job but whoever flew it, must have had a beast on their hands! These relatively smaller aircraft are known for their fierce handling and quick control response time. If you have any information as to who built this gem, please let us know! Here are some pictures to enjoy! (click on the pictures for an up and close gallery!)
